Reese Village Apartments
The Reese Village Apartments was named in honor of a former TACHS Board member, Dan Reese, who's legacy will always remain that of a proud advocate for persons with disabilities.
The Reese Village Apartments demonstrates an approach to providing safe, affordable service-enriched housing for low-income people with a diagnosed disability through funding provided by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Developments Section 811 program.
The construction of Reese Village was completed in the summer of 2002, and hosts 19 one-bedroom apartments located in the College Area of eastern San Diego, CA .
Reese Village received permanent funding by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development and the San Diego Housing Commission. Organizational support came from: the County of San Diego Department of Mental Health Services, Wells Fargo Foundation, Union Bank Foundation and Washington Mutual Foundation, San Diego Foundation, and individual contributors.
